Digital Assistant Helps Recruiters and Students at SEARK College

girl smiling with exclamation points above her head, she stands in front of a brick wall

Choosing the right college takes great vision.  You have to see past the course work, past the long nights, book fees and ever expanding student loans.  You have to look into a crystal ball of sorts-- gage the future job market, the person you will become, the life you want and the role you will play.

That's a tall order for any age, much less a 18-20-year-old.

Being a college recruiter is no picnic either.  Gone are the days of handing out brochures at college fairs and waiting for the applications to pour in to your admissions office.

Today's prospective students rely on technology. Websites, Facebook, and Twitter fire up with their inquiries.  So why give them the same old, same old on that all-important campus visit.

"Yeah, WHY?" asked the administration of SEARK,  a  small college in Pine Bluff, AK. "Why not give our prospective students something REALLY different?"

Enter Ann the PRSONAS-VMS™(Visitor ManagementSystem)SEARK_Ann.png

Working the PRSONAS™ strategic partner Ricoh, SEARK College created  a virtual recruiter that leaves a lasting impression on young campus visitors.

Here's how she works:

Engagement: Ann is strategically placed in the SEARK campus welcome center. Motion sensors alert her to visitors. These may be drop-ins or appointments waiting to speak with a recruiter.  Ann paves the way.   Because her interactive hologram technology is unique (the first of its kind in Arkansas), the novelty is very compelling.  Ann always draws attention. And she gets her point across.

Options:  PRSONAS™ intelligent digital assistants are built around self-selection and the end-user experience.  Ann does this well, offering four options.  "About the College", "Programs", "Campus Map", "Apply".  Ann walks her users though steps to dig deeper.  And enables them to get any or all of the information sent to their cell phones--a big plus with millennials who do NOT like paper.

Lead Capture:  Ann also guides prospective students toward the college's online application which is accessed via their entered cell phone number.

Ann was installed just a few months ago.  Like SEARK, we expect her to drive next year's enrollment figures.   But she's already made a big splash in Pine Bluff.   Check out some of her press:
